Monday is one of my favorite days of the week because I have my vocal lessons.

Tuesday is one of my favorite days of the week because I am learning Spanish with a friend.

Wednesday is one of my favorite days of the week because I go bouldering with co-workers after work.

Thursday is one of my favorite days of the week because it is my weekday evening at home when I have time to do what I want.

Friday is one of my favorite days of the week because often I embark on another trip for the weekend.

Saturday is one of my favorite days of the week because it is my offline day and I get to do things that are important — not urgent.

Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week because I let myself relax and re-energize for the new week.

Okay, okay, you got me. I don’t love every day of my life.

I still face hard times and struggle with fear of certain events.

Sometimes, I dread Mondays because I didn’t have enough me-time during the weekend.

Other times, I wish Friday would come faster. Work is too much, and I had enough of solving other people's problems.

Besides, I have something to look forward to almost every day.

Often I can’t wait to eat my lunch. I love food and I know what delicious meal is waiting for me. If everything else fails, this is the highlight of my day and I am not feeling ashamed because of that.

There is not always time for big things. I don’t have two hours for self-care each evening.

But maybe I have 15 minutes to solve a crossword puzzle after dinner with a nice hot cup of coffee.

Occasionally, I apply a face mask while cleaning my kitchen. Seeing my skin softer and cleaner afterward is always rewarding.

Now and again, just going to bed already saves the day.

Life has its hard moments and days.

Plan your highlights.
Plan what you can look forward to, to make it through the rest.
